As a Certified Specialist with the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization in workers’ compensation, Ms. Mills is highly effective representing employers and management in workers’ compensation claims and employment issues that may also involve civil actions. She represents employers, insurance carriers and third party administrators in the litigation of workers’ compensation claims, including the defense of Serious & Willful claims, Discrimination under Labor Code section 132a, subrogation claims in civil court and other workers' compensation issues of concern to employers. Ms. Mills manages and litigates employment cases involving discrimination, harassment and other personnel issues such as hiring, firing and leave entitlements. Her experience in workers’ compensation makes her especially effective in managing employment disability issues under both federal and state law. Ms. Mills earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and anthropology from San Jose State University and is a graduate of Golden Gate University School of Law.
